A Pivot in Our Plans

It is now less than a week until I leave for Orlando. It is crazy how time has passed so quickly! The past few weeks have been filled with goodbyes as I've been visiting with family members, and many of my friends have been going back to college.

A few days ago we received an update about our trip. Instead of coming home for Christmas, we will be staying in Thailand for an extra two months and then heading straight to Croatia from there!! This is exciting because we will be able to serve the people there longer and I will get a closer look at full time missions. However, it will also be difficult to be away from family and friends during the Holidays.

The countdown in our kitchen

That being said I have been very busy running errands and gathering everything I will need for the next 9 months. Not only do I need clothes for the hot climate in Thailand, but I will also need to pack for the colder Croatian weather as well. Did I also mention that I am a last minute packer and an overpacker? Well, I'm learning new habits, because I don't want to forget anything important and I don't have much space. We'll see how that goes haha.

My packing thus far, also Jett (who is very happy I'm leaving because that means more attention for him)

Some specific things you can be praying for me about in the next few weeks are

  • I would continue to grow in my walk with the Lord

  • I wouldn't forget anything too essential when packing

  • Our team to bond as we meet eachother in person for the first time

I fly to Orlando the morning of September 5th, which is so soon, but I am so so excited to meet the rest of my team and start this crazy new chapter of my life!!

Jeremiah 17:7

"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him."

Romans 10:13-15

"For, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.' How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
